Designed for both beauty and function, the vase includes a 2" x 8" glass insert that safely holds water for fresh-cut flowers. This allows you to enjoy real floral arrangements without exposing the wood to moisture, preserving the integrity and finish of the vase while making it practical for everyday use.

One of the most distinctive features of this piece is the natural bark inclusion in the base. While some may see this type of natural marking as an imperfection, I see it as part of the story of the wood. It creates a unique accent that celebrates the tree’s original character and ensures that no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.

One cherry platter, three ways to serve and display.

This handcrafted cherry platter set offers several ways to serve, decorate, and display from one beautifully made piece. The platter measures approximately 9.5 inches in diameter by 1.75 inches tall, giving it a slightly deeper profile than some of my other platter designs. Turned from cherry, it has a warm natural tone and smooth grain that make it useful as both a serving piece and a decorative base.

Included with the platter are three coordinating walnut accessories, chosen for their rich contrast against the cherry. The set includes a walnut taper candlestick insert, a walnut stand for a 4-ounce white ramekin, and a small walnut lighthouse accent. Each accessory gives the platter a different purpose and personality.

Use the ramekin stand for serving dips, nuts, candies, sauces, crackers and spreads, or small snack pairings. Swap in the taper candlestick to turn the platter into a warm centerpiece for a table, mantel, or sideboard. The small lighthouse adds a decorative coastal touch, making the set especially appealing for nautical, lake house, beach house, or summer-themed décor.

The contrast between the cherry platter and walnut accessories gives the set a refined handmade look, while the interchangeable design makes it flexible for everyday use, entertaining, or seasonal display. Ambrosia Maple Modular Platter Set with Lighthouse, Ramekin, and Candle Inserts

This large handcrafted centerpiece set is designed for versatility, display, and conversation. At its foundation is a beautiful 15 3/8-inch ambrosia maple platter, turned to showcase the striking natural character that makes ambrosia maple so distinctive. The flowing grain, color variation, and organic markings give the platter warmth and movement, making it a standout piece whether used for serving, decorating, or display.

This is an 8-piece modular set built around interchangeable magnetic components. The set includes the large ambrosia maple platter, a ramekin stand with a light blue distressed-look ceramic ramekin, an auxiliary magnetic base, a taper candle with insert and base, and a decorative lighthouse piece with its own magnetic base. Use the platter with the ramekin stand in the center for serving snacks, dips, nuts, candies, crackers, fruit, or other small pairings. The ramekin can also be displayed separately in the auxiliary base, giving you another way to use the set beyond the platter. For a warmer decorative arrangement, swap in the taper candle insert and create a candlelit centerpiece. The lighthouse topper adds a coastal, nautical accent and can be displayed with its own base or interchanged with the other magnetic components.

Most of the wood pieces are made from ambrosia maple, giving the set a cohesive natural look. The lighthouse is made from clear maple and accented with red, black, and red-dyed details to give it a more recognizable and visually interesting lighthouse character. The contrast between the natural maple tones, the soft blue ramekin, the white taper candle, and the red-accented lighthouse gives the set a playful but refined personality.
